Mr Saqib Dodhy qualified with Honours and a Clinical Distinction from Birmingham University in 2004.

He has extensive experience in NHS and Private General Practice and has worked across the Midlands, including for the Bhandal Dental Group. Those populations posed very different dental challenges and so he has built a portfolio of experience and skills to meet the needs of every patient.

During that time he has provided services including intravenous sedation, surgical removal of wisdom teeth and the placement of dental implants.

He has used this vast experience to teach dental students at the Birmingham Dental Hospital during 2010/11, a role which he will likely return to in the future.

Currently he has dedicated his practice to reconstructing decaying or broken teeth and rehabilitating patients back to good oral health. He has extensive experience in new minimally invasive techniques to fix broken teeth and also state-of-the art Whitening technologies.

Mr Dodhy joined the practice in November 2012 as principal and jointly owns the practice with Mrs Sobia Butt.

He has recently obtained the postgraduate qualification MFDS RCS after passing the exams in May 2015 and remains committed to the development of his career by attending many courses across the UK.

Dr Sobia Butt graduated from the University Of Liverpool dental school in July 2004, with a personal letter of commendation from the head of the clinical dental sciences department, for the excellent treatment of nervous and dentally challenged patients and was amongst the top students to score the highest marks in the paediatric (child dentistry) and behavioural sciences examinations. This has further developed into the field of orthodontics and orthopaedics, taking the latest concepts from the USA under the training of Dr Skipp Truitt, nominated as one of the most influential men in dentistry 2007. Both children and adults may no longer need to have teeth extracted or wear braces if problems are detected and treated early.Sobia has also trained in providing Invisalign, Clearstep, Damon and 6 Month smile brace treatments. She completed further training at the University of Warwick and was awarded a Certificate in Orthodontics in 2010.

Sobia completed her vocational training and trained in dental teeth whitening in 2005. She was selected for Dr Christopher Orrs’ (president of the British academy of cosmetic dentistry) prestigious advanced cosmetic dentistry programme and latest concepts in periodontal soft tissue and disease management programmes all of which she completed in 2006

Using the latest concepts in teeth whitening, shade mapping, porcelain veneers, crowns, Cerec 3D and advanced restorative dentistry Dr Butt is able to achieve the highest quality cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry,

Having covered cosmetic dentistry, Dr Butt then went on the further develop her skills in the rejuvenation of the surrounding head and neck area with the removal of both deep and fine lines and skin surface characteristics to provide a more softened, youthful appearance, lip augmentation and the treatment of tension headaches and migraines using only non-invasive and non surgical botox and dermal filler treatments.

In 2012 Sobia took time away from Dentistry to start a family but returned to Crabbs Cross Dental in 2016 as Joint Principal.

Lesley Robertson is originally from the North East of England and qualified from Leeds Dental School in 1985.

After qualification she worked as a junior doctor in the Oral Surgery Departments of Stafford, Cheltenham and Gloucester Royal Hospitals. This gave her further training, experience and confidence in oral surgery procedures, that she has continued to use in general practice.

Lesley joined Crabbs Cross Dental Surgery in 1987 and works brilliantly with staff and looked after the dental needs of thousands of patients and wonderful families over the years.

She remains a very experienced general dental practitioner. Lesley enjoys a brilliant reputation for good communication skills, and a great reputation with her patients for helping them with dental anxiety and improving their dental Health.

Outside of work, she married with 2 sons. Regularly playing completive netball, and a keen supporter of amateur and professional rugby union.
